[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] advised that his primary source of cocaine
and marijuana during the 1990/1991 time frame was RAMON GARCIA.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] stated-that GARCIA resided in Imperial Beach, CA, and
was arrested in 1991. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] advised that he obtained
various quantities of cocaine from Garcia. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] recalled
one occasion when he received approximately 10 kilograms from
Garcia. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] stated that he received the one kilogram of
cocaine which he provided to AVILA from GARCIA. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT]
further advised that he did not know MANUEL ARRANDA.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] advised that in early 1990, RAMON GARCIA
introduced [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] to DIEGO CALERO and GUSTAVO CALERO,
brothers from Cali, Colombia, who were involved in narcotics
trafficking. The CALEROs, in turn, introduced [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] to
OSCAR (Last Name Unknown) (LNU), also known as "EL PROFESSOR," who
was also a drug trafficker. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] routinely met OSCAR (LNU)
from 1990 through 1995 at a Tijuana automobile repair shop titled
"TALLER EL INDIO ROJO" owned by RAPHAEL TRUJILLO. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT]
identified OSCAR (LNU) and TRUJILLO as close friends and
associates in the narcotics business.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] described OSCAR (LNU) as a Nicaraguan who
transports large quantities of cocaine and marijuana from Tijuana
to San Diego for further distribution to other areas in the U.S.,
such as Los Angeles and New York. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] is aware of OSCAR
(LNU) travelling to Colombia and Nicaragua in support of his drug
enterprise. In 1990, OSCAR (LNU) approached [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] regarding
helping transport cocaine and marijuana. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] declined to
personally transport the drugs for OSCAR (LNU); however,
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] introduced OSCAR to two individuals, ANTONIO CEJA and
ALBERTO DIAZ, who then assisted OSCAR (LNU) in moving drugs
across the border on at least ten occasions. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] recalled
three specific instances when he arranged for CEJA and DIAZ to
assist OSCAR. The first occurred in May, 1995, and [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT]
was paid $2,000. The second occurred in July, 1995, and
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] was paid $5,000. The third occurred in October, 1995,
when OSCAR (LNU) approached [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] regarding the movement of
500 kilograms of cocaine. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] again put OSCAR (LNU) in
contact with CEJA and DIAZ, who did, in fact, transport the 500
kilograms across the border. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] advised that he has yet
to be paid by OSCAR (LNU) for his participation in
the operation.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] described ANTONIO CEJA, also known as TONY,
as a Hispanic male; 6'; slender build; dark hair; dark mustache;
approximately 35 years of age;. married with several children, and
in Colonia, Libertad, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] has been acquainted with CEJA for approximately ten
years.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] described ALBERTO DIAZ as a Hispanic male;
5'10"; medium build; brown, curly hair; approximately 40 years of
age; single, and residing in Colonia, Buena Vista, Tijuana, Baja
California, Mexico. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] met DIAZ through an individual
identified as "EL GORDO,', a chauffeur for ANTONIO CEJA.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] has known DIAZ for approximately
ten years.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] advised that OSCAR (LNU) claims to pay an
Immigration/Customs official at the Calexico Port of Entry to
guarantee safe passage of OSCAR (LNU)'s narcotics loads into the
United States. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] could not provide any additional
information concerning the alleged official.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] also recalled meeting OSCAR (LNU) at various
locations other than the car repair shop in Tijuana. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT]
occasionally met OSCAR (LNU) at a shopping center in Chula Vista,
California, and shopping centers in Mission Valley and Old Town,
San Diego, California.
[INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] identified VICTOR LOPEZ as another
individual who also transported narcotics for OSCAR (LNU) and
TRUJILLO. [INFORMATION BLACKED OUT] recalled that LOPEZ transported 300
kilograms of marijuana for OSCAR (LNU) in June/July, 1995.
Castrillon could not provide any additional details regarding
Lopez.
