In our day to day lives, thousands of news stories about a disturbing world call out to be seen. After those, dark interests from large corporations fight to get our attention....

There is, however, an other way.
There is a way of telling where the processing and presentation of content are relevant. There are also stories where the content and the what and why have a meaning beyond the value of the dollar.
There is global communication model that is conscious, hardworking, and ethical-where it's important to reach people, but it's also important how you do it.
Narco News offers an informative view of reality far away from the large media empires and their commercial interests. Through its work it has taken back the value and integrity of a profession that stripped itself of its virtue and that was once considered the Fourth Estate: journalism
Therefore, it is necessary to stop thinking and to start building: to work on authenticity with the certainty that the right to inform and be informed is a human right, and that information must be treated with honesty, diligence, and professionalism.
I, Iván Sánchez López, have been selected to participate in the 2011 School of Authentic Journalism. For years I've molded my professional profile in academics and labor. I have dedicated time to the learning of the procedures and routines in the communications field, the dissemination of projects, and the formation of international cooperation and development aid. My will, my aspiration, is to communicate stories by human beings for human beings-using the tools of audiovisual language as a means in itself, with its own communicative potential, and not as an end. Through them, I want to contribute to the coming together of people to unappreciated realities, realities treated with honesty, diligence, and professionalism.
The School of Authentic Journalism strengthens a personal purpose. The Narcosphere confirms the existence of that with an other way of communicating.
With your help you are collaborating in the strengthening of this project and the training of professionals in this model.

Collaborate with us. Help us build this other way of communicating, so that out of the thousands of news stories about a disturbing world, some will survive the interests of large corporations. And they can be told by authentic people for authentic people.
